1. The line between Gretna Jn and Carlisle
was duplicated in the L.M.R. Western Lines North and the L.M.R. Central lines
Sectional Appendices. Strictly speaking this link should go to the Western
Lines, but in deference to the fact that this was, after all, a part of
the Midland Railway's route to the Scotland, I have linked to the Central Lines. Links to
the Western lines can be found on that page.
